Quad STEM Fellowship
The Quad Fellowship, administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) is a first-of-a-kind scholarship program designed to build robust ties among the next generation of scientists and technologists. Announced by the Quad Leaders in September 24, 2021, it is the first multinational scholarship and educational fellowship program specifically supporting students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and sponsors exceptional master’s and doctoral students in the fields like engineering, computer science, environmental science, public health and biology amongst others to study in the United States. The first cohort of Quad Fellows began their academic program in 2023. The second cohort of 50 Quad Fellows, beginning in 2024 had representation from 45 cities in 12 countries comprising countries from the Quad grouping and South East Asia. The applications for the third cohort is slated to be opened in early 2025 for the scholars from Quad and South East Asian countries.

During the 2024 Quad Leaders’ Summit, India has announced a new initiative to award fifty Quad scholarships, worth $500,000, to students from the Indo-Pacific to pursue a 4-year undergraduate engineering program at a Government of India funded technical institute, starting in 2025-26.
